Intermountain West Funder Network 2016 Convening
The Intermountain West Funder Network (IMWFN) is pleased to convene in 2016 on April 27 – 29 in Fort Collins, Colorado. A vibrant city at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Fort Collins presents an exciting backdrop as a city that is nationally recognized as a hot spot for innovation and sustainability, and as a great place to live, work, and play. There will be plenty of opportunities, such as the site visit, to learn from this forward-looking city and the thriving partnerships with “big city ideas and small town relationships” that better the area and beyond. And, to get a taste of the local culture of bikes, beer, and bands!
Hosted by the New Belguim Family Foundation and the Gates Family Foundation, the convening will begin with a half-day “learning from the place” site visit and a welcome reception and dinner on Wednesday, April 27th, followed by a full-day meeting and funder dinner on Thursday, April 28th, and a half-day meeting on Friday, April 28th (concluding by 11:30am MST).
April 27: 1:30 p.m. Half-Day Site Visit
April 28: All Day
April 29: 11:30 a.m. MT Adjourn

Registration is now open! This meeting is underwritten by the supporters of the Intermountain West Funder Network. As a result, there is a modest registration fee of $250.00 to participate in this convening. If your organization is a current investor in the IMWFN or a member of the Funders’ Network, the registration fee is waived. The registration deadline was Friday, April 15, 2016.
Who Should Attend:
Registration is open to donors, staff, directors, and trustees of public and private foundations, corporate grantmakers, and government funders throughout the Intermountain West and the nation. We welcome funders, wherever they are in the continuum of learning about and engagement in this work. We are seeking to create a gathering of funders who are engaged in this field with the goal of facilitating a strategic conversation about where philanthropic resources can have the greatest impact.
Community Foundation Travel Stipend and Discounted Registration Fee:
Community foundations will receive a discounted registration fee of $100. Community foundations may also request a travel stipend of up to $500 to help cover lodging and travel costs to/from Fort Collins. First priority will be given to community foundations which are new to the IMWFN or those which have not attended a previous convening. There are a limited number of stipends so please register early.
