Smart Growth California 2017 Statewide Funder Convening

Smart Growth California 2017 Statewide Funder Convening

February 8-10, 2017

You are invited to join us for our Smart Growth California statewide funder convening, which is our premiere event bringing together grantmakers to learn, connect, and take action.

The Smart Growth California statewide funder convening is for funders from throughout California and the nation who are working to create healthy, equitable, and sustainable communities and regions in California.

Our 2017 convening will cover a wide range of topics including: the 2016 elections; affordable housing and displacement; climate change, cap-and-trade, and disadvantaged communities; the drought and water issues; innovations in regional planning; building power and civic engagement; and supporting access to opportunity for all Californians, particularly low-income residents.

The convening is being produced in partnership with The San Diego Foundation, San Diego Grantmakers, the University of San Diego, the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, The California Endowment, California Community Foundation, and the Central Valley Community Foundation.

Why Should You Attend?

You’ll hear from thought leaders, advocates, and other experts about the latest policy developments and opportunities in California.
You’ll share insights and best practices with peers, plus identify actions to take both individually and collectively.
You’ll build new connections with funders who are part of the large and growing Smart Growth California community.

The funder summit will be held in San Diego from February 8-10, 2017. The first day of the summit will be at the Courtyard Marriott San Diego Airport/Liberty Station; the second and third days will be held at The San Diego Foundation. Mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information soon.
