Power for Climate and Communities: Affordable Housing, Energy Efficiency & Environmental Justice

Residents living in multifamily buildings – particularly those living in low-income communities – benefit greatly from energy efficiency upgrades and retrofits. In addition to decreasing the financial burden on renters, these investments reduce carbon emissions and increase the climate resiliency of our housing stock while improving indoor air quality and creating healthier and safer homes for families.

The webinar will feature Energy Efficiency for All (EEFA), a partnership that aims to build collective power and connects climate, health, and equity by bringing energy efficiency to affordable housing through state-based coalitions and a national social impact network, the Network for Energy, Water, and Health in Affordable Buildings (NEWHAB). In addition, EEFA partner the Greenlining Institute, will present on their Equitable Electrification Framework: A Framework for Powering Resilient Communities to be released in early October.
