We are so delighted to be able to meet in person again! I invite you to join the San Joaquin Valley Funders’ Collaborative (SJVFC) for a two-day in-person gathering in Tulare County, May 25-26.

Day one is an all-day learning exchange and strategy session with partners. You will see firsthand the intersections of water, agroecology, health and equity and will be challenged to show up as a funder in the most impactful and equitable ways to support the communities’ power building efforts. We will begin our site visit around 10am and host a funder coffee hour at 8:30am for those of you who will arrive sooner. Day two will be a funder-to-funder connection and strategy day, ending at 2pm. Stay tuned for more details.

Members of the SJVFC and their colleagues, as well as guest funders are invited and encouraged to attend both days. While this event does not have a registration fee, there are many costs involved with hosting a two-day event: food, bus, translation, event space, etc. Please consider making a donation or sponsorship to help cover costs of the event.

Register here.

Hotel. If you plan to stay overnight, please consider booking your room at the beautiful historic Darling Hotel in downtown Tulare. This is in walking distance from the Community Water Center offices, where we will begin our site visit and learning exchange.

Food. We will provide lunch and dinner on the first day, as well as breakfast and lunch on the second day.

Transportation. The nearest airport is Fresno (FAT), which is just under an hour’s drive from Visalia. You can rent a car or Amtrak will get you to Hanford, which is a 25-minute drive to downtown Visalia. Please coordinate with your colleagues to share transportation when possible.

COVID Precautions. Tulare County is currently in the “green” for low COVID danger. Given the constant changing nature of the pandemic, we will of course be keeping close watch on CDC and local health recommendations. Please see the registration page for further details on our COVID policies to keep all our guests safe.
