TFN Code of Conduct

TFN in-person and virtual events are an opportunity for funders to learn, collaborate, and grow amid conversations focused on racial, economic and environmental equity and justice. We would also like to ensure that TFN’s events remain a relaxed, considerate and caring space for the philanthropic community to gather with their colleagues, government and non-profit partners. As such:

  • TFN does not allow language that harasses, threatens or defames others, or language that is derogatory toward people or communities based on, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or ability status.
  • TFN asks attendees to refrain from using in-person or virtual events, including digital platforms and networking activities related to those events, as a venue for fundraising pitches or any other solicitations for financial support.
  • Electioneering or lobbying activities are prohibited. For additional guidance on how to effectively advocate as a non-profit or philanthropic organization, we encourage you to visit the resource pages for Bolder Advocacy, a program of the Alliance for Justice.
